WHO? WHAT? WHERE? WHEN?
“When are you playing next?”, “Who are you playing with?”, “Where’s it gonna be?” These are the most common questions I receive when it comes to my music. To which I respond with, “Uh……iunno? :::deer in the headlights stare::: I’ll have to check.”
To be honest, I rarely know the answers to these questions regarding gigs until the day before I need to show up. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not a client fault. That’s a DALISAY fault. Often times, I feel overwhelmed with my schedule and tend to only want to be aware of the immediate details. I get as far as writing them down with vague notation on my calendar. (You can see why this poses a problem.) SO. That being said, I’ve taken a step in the grown-up direction and created a gig calendar specifically for upcoming gigs. As some of you know, I have the honor of playing with not one, but many music groups around town and some on the outskirts. They have graciously helped keep me employed over the years and I would like you to have more opportunities to see them, as well!
Some projects have included working with Eva Scow, the Sons of the San Joaquin, Terry Talbot and John Hollingsworth, Baloney Creek, The Chordsmen, Dave Aguallo, New Cov Worship Band, The Buckaroos, San Joaquin Junction and a few other groups here and there.
