Me: "I LOVE Thanksgiving."

Adam: "Oh yeah?"

Me: "Yeah. It's my favorite holiday. That and your birthday."

Adam: "Oh."

Me: "It's Thanksgiving and your birthday, then Easter, then Christmas."

Adam: "Oh."

Me: "Kay, what about you?"

Adam: "Flag Day."

Me: "Ugh. Adam Paul!"

Adam: "Flag Day, St. Patrick's Day, then Kwanzaa."

(All I could muster was the eye-roll. And a secret chuckle.)
